Where the store stands

The short version: the hard part is done. The range is complete, the structure is sound and the brand voice is distinct. The next stage of growth isn't more products — it's telling a fuller story around the ones already there, and giving customers a reason to buy two things instead of one.

The headline Big Dog Energy has 31 products and 73 product images — an average of 2.35 images per page. The category benchmark for premium pet and lifestyle accessories sits between 5 and 7. The catalogue is finished. The storytelling around it is the opportunity.

What's working

Structural strengths

  • The Hound Gear / Human Gear split is a genuinely strong decision. Most pet brands sell to the dog. Selling to both, and saying so in the navigation, is a real point of difference and it's already built.
  • The harness page is an excellent template. Size guide, FAQ block, shipping detail and reviews all in one place. It's the standard the rest of the range should be brought up to — and it exists already.
  • Strong early social proof. 5.0 stars from 29 verified reviews on the hero product.
  • Colour discipline. Harnesses and leads share the same five colourways, which makes matched sets possible without a single new product.

Operational strengths

  • Image naming is already professional. Files like Bag_Ivory_Packshot-Profile_3x4_2500px_72dpi_BDE.webp mean a shot-type taxonomy exists. It just needs extending to new shot types.
  • Consistent 3:4 at 2500px across newer assets — the right ratio for mobile product pages.
  • Clear brand voice. "Big Dog Energy isn't about size, it's about presence" is a positioning line that does real work, and the product copy that follows it holds the same tone.
  • Wholesale channel live via Faire, linked from the homepage.

Seven opportunities, ranked by impact

#OpportunityWhereTiming
1Launch the bundle range. The Walking Sets & Bundles collection is already built, written and live — it just needs products in it. Three sets are already set up in the system awaiting release. This is the fastest available lift to average order value.BundlesNow
2Complete the leash product pages. The five lead pages are currently running without descriptions — they carry a price, an image and a buy button. Bringing them up to the standard of the harness page is a few hours of copywriting against five live products.5 × Dog LeashNow
3Finalise the harness imagery. The second image across all five harness colourways is still a working draft file. As the hero product with the strongest review count, it's the page most worth finishing.5 × HarnessNow
4Show the products in use. There is currently no image on the site of a dog wearing a harness or jacket, or a person wearing a cap. For harnesses in particular, fit is the entire purchase decision — and it's the one thing the gallery doesn't yet answer.Range-wideNext
5Consolidate the duplicate collections. /dogs mirrors /shop-all-dogs and /humans mirrors /human-gear. Redirecting the duplicates consolidates search authority onto one URL per catalogue.4 collectionsNext
6Add image alt text. All 73 images currently have empty alt attributes. Adding them opens up Google Image traffic and brings the site in line with accessibility standards.Site-wideNext
7Release the collar range. Five collar products are set up but not yet published. Releasing them creates a fourth colour-matched category and a natural collar-harness-lead trio.Dog CollarsLater
One number worth acting on. Free shipping starts at $99. A harness ($59) and a matching lead ($34) come to $93 — the most natural pairing in the catalogue lands $6 short of the threshold. A colour-matched set at $79, or a three-piece kit at $124, resolves that either by making the pairing cheaper or by pushing the basket comfortably over the line.

Two quick navigation wins. Shop All Walking Gear is the widest catalogue on the site at 30 products and has no menu entry — adding it gives browsers a single place to see everything. And the Puffer Jacket Size Guide appears in the navigation but not the footer, unlike the harness guide.

Three structural moves. Release the three sets so the Bundles collection has products in it and add it to the Shop menu. Redirect the two duplicate collections onto their primary URLs. Add a "completes the set" module to every product page — a matched lead on harness pages, a bag on cap pages.

Walking Sets & Bundles— (recommend adding)0Built, awaiting products
Dog Collars0Built, awaiting release
The bundles groundwork is already done. The Walking Sets & Bundles collection is live, styled and carries finished copy: "Everything works better as a set. Build your Big Dog Energy walking setup with curated bundles designed for better walks, easier organisation and a more pulled-together look." Three set products are already configured in the system. Releasing them is a publishing step, not a build.
Small correction to make: the Dog Collars collection description currently carries leash copy — "A soft padded dog leash with strong nylon…" — and should be rewritten before that range goes live.

Imagery plan

What a complete product gallery looks like, where the range sits against it, and the priority order for filling the gaps.

The core opportunity Every image on the site today shows the product on its own. Customers can see clearly what each item is — what they can't yet see is what it's like to own it. For harnesses and jackets in particular, fit is the whole decision, and it's the one question the gallery doesn't answer.

The six-image standard

SlotShotWhat it doesStatus
1Hero packshot — clean, 3:4, neutral groundRecognition in the grid and in adsComplete · all 31
2In use — dog wearing, human carrying, mid-walkEmotional proof. Highest-converting slot.Bags only
3Scale & fit — product on a known-size subjectAnswers "will it fit my dog" and reduces returnsTo create
4Detail macro — stitching, buckle, embroideryJustifies the premium against supermarket gearTo create
5Colourway grid — all variants in one frameDrives multi-buy, reduces bouncing between pagesTo create
6Feature callout — annotated diagramCarries the detail people don't read in copyTo create

Priority order

Priority 1 — Harnesses · 5 products · hero of the range

  • Replace the working draft file currently live across all five colourways.
  • On-dog, side profile, lead attached at the front ring. The single most valuable image to create.
  • On-dog three-quarter front — shows the padded chest panel, the real point of difference.
  • Scale trio — the same harness on a small, medium and large dog, side by side. Directly answers the sizing question.
  • Detail macro — reflective stitching catching light, plus buckle hardware.
  • Colourway grid and a personalisation close-up showing an embroidered name — currently the $12 add-on has no visual at all.

Priority 2 — Leashes · 5 products · biggest single lift available

  • Descriptions first — no image improves a page with no copy on it.
  • In-hand — padded handle held, dog out of frame at the end of the lead.
  • Matched-set flat-lay — lead coiled beside its harness. Doubles as the bundle hero.
  • Detail macro of the padded handle and clip, plus a length reference with the measurement stated.

Priority 3 — Caps · 8 products

  • On-model front, cropped at the shoulders with the embroidery legible — needed across all eight.
  • On-model three-quarter with a dog — the shot that works hardest on social.
  • Embroidery macro — thread texture is what separates a $39 cap from a $12 one.
  • Convert the cap files from PNG to WebP for faster mobile loading.

Priority 4 — Bottles, Bags & Puffers

  • Bottles: in-hand for scale, and the dual-purpose shot — bottle beside the detached cup with water in it for the dog. That's the whole product story and it isn't shown anywhere yet.
  • Bags: an interior shot. The copy promises a detachable treat pouch and a built-in poop bag dispenser; neither is currently visible.
  • Puffers: on a dog, and a single frame showing both sides of the reversible design.

Technical standards to apply

  • Alt text on all images. Pattern: "Big Dog Energy no-pull dog harness in beige, worn by a medium dog on a walk."
  • Standardise on WebP, 3:4, 2500px, 72dpi — the convention the newer files already follow.
  • Extend the existing filename taxonomy to new shot types, e.g. Harness_Beige_Lifestyle-OnDog-Profile_3x4_2500px_72dpi_BDE.webp.
  • Order images identically on every page: hero → in use → scale → detail → colourways → feature callout.
  • Enable customer photo reviews. 29 reviews already exist on the harness with no accompanying imagery — that's high-trust content available at no cost.

Imagery production brief

Generation prompts for the priority images, written to work from an existing reference photograph so every product stays true to the real item — correct colour, hardware and proportions.

Method. Each prompt is paired with a reference photograph of the actual product. Bracketed tokens are swapped per colourway. The house style block below is appended to every prompt — it's what makes a large set of images read as one coherent shoot rather than a collection of separate ones.

House style — appended to every prompt

Always appendStyle: premium Australian lifestyle photography. Warm neutral palette — ivory, chocolate brown, teddy tan, soft sage. Natural diffused daylight, soft directional key from camera left, gentle falloff, no harsh specular hotspots. Shallow depth of field, subject tack sharp. Shot on 85mm at f/2.8, eye level. Colour grade: warm, slightly lifted blacks, low contrast, film-like. Composition: 3:4 vertical, generous negative space, product in the upper two-thirds. Output 2500px wide, clean edges, no text, no watermark, no logo overlays, no borders. Negative: oversaturated colours, blue-grey cast, harsh flash, cluttered background, plastic-looking fabric, distorted or extra buckles, mismatched hardware colour, warped stitching, extra straps, deformed dog anatomy, extra limbs, uncanny faces, text artefacts, brand marks other than the product's own.

01 — Harness on dog, side profile

Priority 1Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy no-pull dog harness in [COLOUR], recreate this exact harness — identical webbing colour, padded chest panel shape, buckle hardware finish and reflective stitching placement — now fitted correctly on a medium-sized short-haired dog (approx. 20kg, mixed breed, warm tan coat) standing in full left-side profile. The dog stands relaxed and alert on a sandy coastal path with soft dry grass at the frame edges. A matching [COLOUR] lead clips to the front chest D-ring and exits the frame at the lower left, held taut but not pulling. The harness sits correctly: chest panel centred on the sternum, straps flat, two-finger clearance visible at the girth. Late afternoon light, sun low and behind camera-left, warm rim on the dog's back. Background softly out of focus. [+ House Style block]

02 — Harness scale trio

Priority 1Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy no-pull harness in [COLOUR], generate a single composition showing three dogs of clearly different sizes standing side by side, each wearing the same harness design in the same [COLOUR], correctly sized to their body. Left: a small dog (approx. 6kg, cavoodle type) in size XS. Centre: a medium dog (approx. 20kg, short-haired mixed breed) in size M. Right: a large dog (approx. 35kg, labrador type) in size XL. All three in three-quarter front view, facing camera, calm and steady, evenly spaced. Plain seamless ivory studio backdrop, soft even top light with a subtle floor shadow under each dog. Harness hardware, webbing colour and padded chest panel must match the reference exactly across all three. [+ House Style block — override composition to 4:3 horizontal, 3000px wide]

03 — Harness detail macro

Priority 1Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy no-pull harness in [COLOUR], generate an extreme close-up macro of the harness webbing where the reflective stitch line meets the buckle hardware. Fill the frame with the junction: woven nylon texture clearly visible thread by thread, the reflective stitching catching a single soft light source and glowing subtly silver-white, the buckle in matte black hardware, crisp and unscratched. The harness rests on a warm chocolate-brown suede surface. Shot on 100mm macro at f/4, focus stacked so the buckle and the stitch line are both sharp, background falling away softly. [+ House Style block]

04 — Personalisation close-up

Priority 1Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy no-pull harness in [COLOUR], generate a close-up three-quarter view of the padded chest panel with a dog's name embroidered onto it in clean sans-serif capitals reading "PICKLES", stitched in ivory thread. The embroidery sits centred on the padded panel, thread texture clearly raised and visible, stitches even and slightly glossy against the matte webbing. Harness worn on a dog — only the chest and front legs in frame, body soft-focus. Shot on 85mm at f/2.8, focus on the embroidery. Warm natural light from camera left. [+ House Style block]

05 — Lead in hand

Priority 2Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy padded dog leash in [COLOUR], recreate this exact leash — identical webbing colour, padded handle shape, reflective stitch line and clip hardware — now held in a woman's hand at walking height. Frame from just above the wrist down, hand relaxed through the padded handle, the leash running diagonally down and out of the lower-right frame under light tension. A dog is implied but out of frame. She wears a cream knit sleeve pushed to the forearm. Setting: a suburban tree-lined footpath, softly blurred, morning light. The padded handle's cushioning should read clearly as thickness and softness. [+ House Style block]

06 — Cap on model with dog

Priority 3Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy [SLOGAN] cap in [COLOUR], recreate this exact cap — identical crown colour, brim curve, embroidered front slogan wording, thread colour and adjustable back strap — now worn by a woman in her early thirties. Three-quarter view from the shoulders up, head turned slightly toward camera, warm natural smile, hair loose. The embroidered slogan must be fully legible and correctly spelled. She crouches beside a medium tan dog whose head enters the lower frame at her shoulder. Setting: a park path at golden hour, background softly blurred with warm bokeh. She wears an oatmeal knit. [+ House Style block]

07 — Bottle dual-purpose demonstration

Priority 4Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy 946ml drink bottle in [COLOUR], recreate this exact bottle — identical body colour, matte finish, lid design and proportions — now shown in use with its base cup detached. Composition: the bottle stands upright at frame left with the fold-down sports straw extended. At frame right, the detached 500ml base cup sits on the ground holding clear water, and a dog's muzzle enters the lower-right frame drinking from it. The relationship between the two — human water above, dog water below — must read instantly. Setting: a wooden park bench edge and dry grass, shallow depth of field, warm late-morning light. [+ House Style block]

08 — Bag interior

Priority 4Using the attached reference image of the Big Dog Energy crossbody dog walking bag in [COLOUR], recreate this exact bag — identical fabric colour, satin sheen, black hardware, zip placement and strap — now shown open from above with its contents laid out. The bag sits open in the upper frame, main compartment visibly roomy. Below it, neatly arranged on warm ivory linen: a phone, keys on a small ring, a small pile of dog treats, and a roll of poop bags positioned beside the built-in dispenser opening so the feature is obvious. The detachable treat pouch is unclipped and sits to the right. Directly overhead, soft even daylight, clean even spacing, minimal shadow. [+ House Style block]

09 — Puffer jacket reversibility

Priority 4Using the attached reference images of the Big Dog Energy reversible puffer jacket in chocolate brown / [SECOND COLOUR], generate a single frame split vertically down the centre showing the same medium dog twice, in identical pose and identical lighting. Left half: the dog wearing the jacket chocolate-brown side out. Right half: the same dog wearing it [SECOND COLOUR] side out. Both in left-side profile, standing, back-zip closed and visible along the spine, jacket sitting oversized with full chest and belly coverage. Plain seamless ivory studio backdrop, soft even light, subtle floor shadow. The quilted channel pattern and zip must match the reference exactly on both sides. [+ House Style block — override to 4:3 horizontal, 3000px wide]
Consistency note. Generating one recurring dog and one recurring model early, then carrying those through every subsequent lifestyle image as a second reference, is what makes the set feel like a real brand shoot. A different dog on every page reads as stock photography.

Three bundle concepts

Priced as a fixed dollar saving — the clearest value message for the customer, and it holds margin better than a percentage as the range grows. Full page copy is included for each, ready to publish.

Why these three. The first captures the colour-matched pairing the range is already built for. The second lifts the basket comfortably past the free-shipping threshold, which is where average order value should sit. The third is the only human-only, sizing-free set — which makes it the easiest thing on the site to buy as a gift.

The case for it

This is the pairing customers are already assembling manually, and both pieces stock in the same five colours. It's the lowest-effort set to build — no new product, and one flat-lay covers the photography. At $79 it also sits close enough to $99 that a cap or bottle tips the basket into free shipping.

Most walking gear is bought one piece at a time and it shows — a black lead clipped to a beige harness, hardware that doesn't match, nothing that quite goes together.

The Everyday Walk Set fixes that. Our No-Pull Harness and Padded Lead in the same colour, with the same hardware, designed to work as one piece of kit. The harness takes the pressure off your dog's neck and gives you a front clip for the pullers. The lead gives you a padded handle that doesn't cut into your hand on the long ones.

It's the set we'd buy first. It's the set most people come back for in a second colour.

What's included

  • 1 × No-Pull Dog Harness — your choice of size XS–XL
  • 1 × Padded Dog Lead — colour-matched

Why it works

  • Front and back lead points — front clip to redirect a puller, back clip for calm walks
  • Padded chest panel — pressure spread across the sternum, not the throat
  • Reflective stitching on both pieces — early mornings and after-dinner walks
  • Padded handle — for the walks that turn into an hour
  • Matching hardware — because it should look like it belongs together

Colours: Beige · Black · Blue · Neon Coral · Turquoise
Add personalisation: embroider your dog's name on the chest panel for $12.

How do I size the harness?Measure the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs, and check our Harness Size Guide. You should fit two fingers under the strap when it's on. Is the lead one size?Yes — one length, designed for everyday walking rather than training. Can I mix colours? The set is colour-matched by design. If you'd like a contrast pairing, buy the pieces individually. Does the saving stack with a sale?Set pricing is already discounted, so it doesn't stack with storewide promotions.

Imagery concept

Hero: overhead flat-lay on warm ivory linen — harness laid open in the upper two-thirds, lead coiled in three loose loops below, clip resting on top. One sprig of dried eucalyptus at the lower left. Calm and editorial, reading clearly as a set rather than two products photographed together. Supporting: the pairing worn on a dog mid-walk; a macro of the two clips side by side showing identical hardware; a five-colour grid.

Concept 01 heroUsing the two attached reference images (Big Dog Energy no-pull harness and padded leash, both in [COLOUR]), generate a styled overhead flat-lay of the pair presented as a matched set on warm ivory washed-linen fabric. Upper two-thirds: the harness laid open and flat, padded chest panel facing up and centred, straps arranged in a relaxed symmetrical curve, buckles squared to the frame. Lower third: the leash coiled in three loose even loops, the clip resting on top of the coil so the hardware catches the light. Both pieces in identical [COLOUR] with matching matte black hardware. Styling: one sprig of dried eucalyptus at the lower-left edge, partially cropped. Nothing else in frame. Light: soft diffused daylight from above and slightly left, gentle shadow falling to the lower right, visible linen weave texture. [+ House Style block]

The Complete Walk Kit

Everything you actually carry, sorted in one go.

New dog? New standards? This is the whole walk, handled.

The No-Pull Harness and matched Padded Lead take care of your dog. The Crossbody Walking Bag takes care of you — treats, phone, keys and poop bags all in one place, on your body, hands free.

Because the truth about walks is that they're never just walks. They're the coffee run, the vet detour, the twenty minutes at the park that turns into an hour. This is the kit that means you don't have to think about any of it before you leave the house.

What's included

  • 1 × No-Pull Dog Harness — size XS–XL
  • 1 × Padded Dog Lead — colour-matched to the harness
  • 1 × Crossbody Dog Walking Bag — choose your colour

Why it works

  • Hands free, properly — nothing in your pockets, nothing tucked under an arm
  • Built-in poop bag dispenser — feed the roll through, done
  • Detachable treat pouch — clip it on for training, leave it off for a quick loop
  • Front and back lead points — for dogs who pull and dogs who don't
  • Reflective stitching on harness and lead
  • Wipe-clean satin-feel fabric — because dogs

Harness & lead colours: Beige · Black · Blue · Neon Coral · Turquoise
Bag colours: Ivory · Black · Dusty Pink · Teddy Mocha · Teddy Tan
Add personalisation: your dog's name embroidered on the harness for $12.

Can I choose a different colour bag to the harness?Yes. The harness and lead are matched to each other; pick the bag colour separately. What fits in the bag?Phone, keys, wallet, a full roll of poop bags and enough treats for a training session. It also holds our 946ml drink bottle. Is this a good gift for a new puppy owner? It's the best one on the site. If you're unsure of size, a gift card avoids the guesswork. How do I wash the bag?Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry. Don't machine wash or soak it.

Imagery concept

Hero: a "packed and ready" flat-lay — bag anchoring frame centre, harness fanned above, lead coiled to one side, and the bag's contents spilling in a deliberate arc. It should read as a kit laid out on the hall table the night before, not a product grid. Supporting: a woman wearing the bag crossbody with the dog in harness beside her, mid-walk, three-quarter from behind; a value graphic showing the three pieces with individual prices struck through.

Concept 02 heroUsing the three attached reference images (Big Dog Energy crossbody walking bag in [BAG COLOUR], no-pull harness in [COLOUR], padded leash in [COLOUR]), generate a styled overhead flat-lay of all three presented as a complete walking kit on warm ivory washed-linen fabric. Layout: the crossbody bag sits centred and slightly below the middle of the frame, strap arranged in a loose S-curve to the right. Directly above it, the harness lies open and flat, padded chest panel facing up. To the left, the leash is coiled in three loose loops. Below the bag, a small deliberate arc of contents: a roll of poop bags, four or five dog treats, a set of keys on a plain ring. The arrangement should read as intentional and calm — evenly spaced, generous margins, everything squared to the frame or gently curved, nothing overlapping awkwardly. Light: soft diffused daylight from above and slightly left, one consistent gentle shadow direction, visible linen texture. [+ House Style block]

The Hot Girl Walkies Set

Walking Cap + Crossbody Bag + 946ml Drink Bottle

$129.00 $152.00 Save $23
Human only · no sizing decision

The case for it

The only concept with no sizing decision, which makes it the easiest thing on the site to buy for someone else — Christmas, Mother's Day, birthdays. It also puts the "Hot Girl Walkies" and "Dog Mum" slogans to work, which are the brand's most shareable assets and currently sit on $39 caps doing nothing else.

The Hot Girl Walkies Set

The walk is the plan. Dress for it.

Some walks are exercise. Some walks are the whole reason you got out of bed. This set is for the second kind.

A cap that says something. A crossbody bag that holds everything so your hands are free. And a 946ml bottle with a removable cup — one for you, one for the dog — because you're both going the distance.

Nothing here is for your dog. That's the point. You do the walking, the picking up, the early starts and the wet mornings. This is the set that's yours.

What's included

  • 1 × Walking Cap — choose your slogan and colour
  • 1 × Crossbody Dog Walking Bag — choose your colour
  • 1 × Drink Bottle, 946ml with removable 500ml cup — choose your colour

Why it works

  • One bottle, two drinkers — 946ml up top, and the base detaches into a 500ml cup for your dog
  • Fold-down sports straw — drink without breaking stride
  • Hands-free by design — adjustable crossbody strap, built-in poop bag dispenser, detachable treat pouch
  • Embroidered, not printed — the slogan won't crack or fade
  • Adjustable cap strap — relaxed dad-cap fit, one size

Cap slogans: Hot Girl Walkies · Dog Mum · Dog Dad · Dog Person · Big Dog Energy
Bag colours: Ivory · Black · Dusty Pink · Teddy Mocha · Teddy Tan
Bottle colours: Ivory · Mocha · Sage Green · Ice Blue · Blush Pink

Is this a good gift? It's the easiest gift on the site — no sizing, nothing to measure, and it suits any dog and any breed. Does the bottle keep drinks cold? It's a 946ml aluminium bottle with a fold-down sports straw and a removable 500ml storage cup at the base. Will the cap fit?Adjustable back strap, relaxed dad-cap fit — one size, most heads. Can I pick a different combination?Yes, choose cap, bag and bottle colours independently. If you'd like a suggestion: Teddy Tan bag, Mocha bottle, chocolate brown cap.

Meta description: Walking cap, hands-free crossbody bag and 946ml dual drink bottle. The gift set for dog people. Save $23. Big Dog Energy — Melbourne.

Imagery concept

Hero: warmer and more human than the other two — a three-quarter overhead on pale oak rather than linen, styled like a Sunday-morning table. Cap resting brim-up with the slogan legible, bag beside it slightly open, bottle standing at the frame edge with a takeaway coffee and keys nearby. Sunlight raking across at an angle with a soft leaf shadow. Supporting: a woman wearing all three mid-walk, shot from behind at golden hour with the dog leading; a macro of the cap embroidery; a colour-picker grid.

Concept 03 heroUsing the three attached reference images (Big Dog Energy walking cap in [CAP COLOUR] with the "[SLOGAN]" embroidery, crossbody walking bag in [BAG COLOUR], and 946ml drink bottle in [BOTTLE COLOUR]), generate a styled three-quarter overhead composition of all three on a pale oak tabletop. Layout: the cap sits at frame left, brim toward camera, slightly tilted so the embroidered slogan is fully legible and correctly spelled. The crossbody bag sits centre-right, zip partly open with the strap falling in a loose curve toward the lower edge. The drink bottle stands upright at the upper right, straw folded down. Styling props: a plain white takeaway coffee cup and a small set of keys, placed casually rather than arranged. Mood: unhurried Sunday morning. Warm low-angle sunlight raking from the upper right, with a soft dappled leaf shadow falling across the left of the table. Slight natural imperfection — the cap not perfectly square, the strap loosely dropped. [+ House Style block]

A fourth, seasonal

The Winter Walk Set · Reversible Puffer + Harness + Lead

RRP $162 → $135, save $27. With two puffer colourways available, this works best as a run-it-now-and-retire-it seasonal set rather than a permanent line. The hook is that the puffer is cut to sit over the harness, which almost no competitor jacket does — and a bundle is the clearest way to demonstrate that. One image carries the whole proposition: a dog wearing all three in side profile, jacket over harness with the lead clipped through.

Build notes

  • Review the three set products already configured before creating new ones — they may already match these concepts closely.
  • Build each as a single product with linked variants rather than a cart-level discount, so each set gets its own page, imagery, reviews and search listing.
  • Add Walking Sets & Bundles to the Shop menu as the first item, above Hound Gear.
  • Place a "buy as a set" link on every harness and lead page. A customer already viewing a $59 harness is the warmest possible audience for a $79 set.
  • Sync inventory to component stock so a set can't oversell a colourway.

Recommended plan

Sequenced so the fastest revenue wins come first and the photography work is grouped into a single production block.

1

Release what's already built

Week 1
  • Review the three set products and five collars currently configured but not released; decide publish, rework or retire for each.
  • Rewrite the Dog Collars collection description, which currently carries lead copy.
  • Confirm the $15 price on Cap — Big Dog Energy against $39 for the rest of the cap range.
2

Complete the product pages

Week 1–2
  • Write and publish descriptions across the five lead pages, matched to the standard set by the harness page.
  • Add stated lead length and a short FAQ block to each.
3

Structural tidy-up

Week 2
  • Redirect the two duplicate collections onto their primary URLs.
  • Add Shop All Walking Gear to the Shop menu and the Puffer Jacket Size Guide to the footer.
  • Surface the Personalisation add-on beyond the harness collection.
  • Review the $99 free-shipping threshold against the $93 harness-and-lead pairing.
4

Imagery production

Week 3–4
  • One reference session covering group layouts, macro detail and interior shots — roughly 17 frames.
  • Generate the priority library against the production brief, batched by shot type for consistency.
  • Establish a recurring dog and model to carry through all lifestyle imagery.
5

Upload, label and standardise

Week 4
  • Export to WebP, 3:4, 2500px using the existing naming convention.
  • Replace the working draft harness asset across all five colourways.
  • Apply consistent image ordering site-wide and write alt text for every image.
6

Launch the sets

Week 5
  • Publish the three bundle products with hero imagery and the copy provided.
  • Add the collection to the Shop menu and link sets from every relevant product page.
  • Enable customer photo reviews to begin building a user-generated image library.
Expected effect Bundles move the typical order from a single $59 item toward a $79–$124 basket, which clears the free-shipping threshold without discounting the core range. Completing the product galleries addresses the main pre-purchase question — fit — on the products where it matters most.
